The Money Song and the Wizard of Oz

Lucia got a kick out of writing Foundation songs to the tune of songs she heard in musicals and stuff. This song is to the tune of “If I Only Had a Brain” from Wizard of Oz. I am writing what I remember of it, because this is important stuff, folks.

Here’s the song from YouTube:

If I only had a brain

So here are the lyrics as far as I can remember, sung to the tune of the “If I Only Had a Brain”

God sends us lots of money

When skies are gray or sunny

He sends us lots of dough

Ba bum ba bum bum bum bum.

He sends money for the creatures

And Kanab’s special features

He sends us lots of cash

Ba bum bum bum bum ba bum

We’re freeeee, as we can beeeee

Especially financially.

In the Canyon money grows on trees,

Because God loves us, it’s plain to see

For God is the Great One

He’s the number one first rate one

And He sends it in a flash.

******

That’s what I remember of the song. Any of you Foundation orphans who happen by this blog remember this song? If so, please let me know in the comments where I went wrong and I will update this post.
